The Poltimore Inn menu is constantly evolving to meet our customers changing needs and tastes and adapting to seasonal produce. There are weekly specials to reflect the foods that are in season and there is also a wine of the month chosen to reflect in season produce.
There is a selection of desserts that are all home made from Strawberry and Peach Tart to Carrot, Date and Walnut Cake as examples and the dessert menu changes weekly. There is always a cheese board available with local West Country cheeses stealing the limelight including Devonshire Blue and Cornish Yarg, locally sourced and made wherever possible.
Fish is always a popular choice and one of our signature dishes with seasonal fish always making our specials menu. Thursday night is our Fish and Chips night with takeaway dishes available that can be ordered at the bar, popular with both locals and tourists as the alternative shop is several miles away.
Sunday Roasts are very popular with three meats typically chicken, beef and pork being available as well as a vegetarian option. Vegetables are sourced from local suppliers and our Yorkshire Puddings are cooked traditionally in our kitchens.
Speciality food nights at the Poltimore Inn are always popular with dishes from around the world. Food nights have included cuisines ranging from Thai, Chinese and Indian for hot food lovers to Italian and French for the connoisseurs.
