Again, the benefit of secure lock down facilities is a bonus. The location is ideal for cycling groups looking to explore Exmoor with unspoilt and quiet routes accessible from your door step. It is also a recognised stop off on one of the main Land’s End to John o’ Groats cycling routes, a welcome rest with great food awaits. Exploring Exmoor from North Molton is ideal, the roads are quiet, even at the busiest times of year and there are plenty of alternative routes to many destinations across the moor. Dunkery Beacon forms the highest part of the moor at 1705 feet and is well worth the climb. There are also stunning coastal routes across the north of Exmoor to enjoy.

Walking in North Devon

Walking and Hiking Groups:>

Walking and Hiking Groups:

Exmoor offers a paradise for walkers and hikers with over 1000km of bridleways and signed footpaths to explore. The diverse nature of the geography of the moor means that you can experience tough climbs to moorland and coastal peaks, beautiful and tranquil valleys with streams and rivers and traditional moorland walks, surrounded by wildlife and Exmoor ponies. There are some great walks such as Great Hangman and Little Hangman at Combe Martin, rising up to 318m with a sheer rock face, well worth the effort. Dunkery Beacon is also a challenge and the Lorna Doone walk alongside the river is a real experience. After your walk, why not enjoy a delicious meal in the restaurant and plan the next day.
